Camille was admitted to the Jamaican Bar in December 2017 after successfully completing her studies at the Normal Manley Law School. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) with First Class Honours from the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations with a focus in International Economics from the same institution. Camille joined the Firm in 2017 and became a Partner in January 2025.
An integral member of the firm’s commercial department, Camille’s practice focuses on providing strategic and solution-oriented advice across a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial law matters, intellectual property, privacy law, insurance, and conveyancing.
In the realm of corporate and commercial law, Camille possesses substantial transactional experience advising on a variety of transactions, including but not limited to equity and debt offerings, capital market transactions, project financing arrangements, mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring and reorganisation. She is also adept at drafting and negotiating transactional documentation.
A frequent liaison with industry regulators, Camille advises clients on all aspects of company formation, regulatory compliance, including beneficial ownership compliance and corporate governance.
In the intellectual property arena, Camille advises on securing and protecting trademarks, copyright and geographical indications. She provides tailored guidance to clients on navigating the intersection of innovation and intellectual property, safeguarding their competitive advantage.
Camille has a keen interest in technology law which drives her work in AI governance, data protection and digital intellectual property. Her work includes assisting clients with implementing robust privacy frameworks, advising on data security measures, responding to breaches and compliance.
In addition to her legal practice, Camille frequently speaks at industry conferences and contributes to publications on artificial intelligence and intellectual property.
Camille is an active member of the Jamaican Bar Association, serving on its Intellectual Property, Commercial Law and the Publications Subcommittees. She is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, the International Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law, the Responsible AI Institute and is trained as an AI Governance Professional.
In her free time, Camille enjoys marathoning, hiking, tennis, a healthy game of chess and exploring the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence regulatory landscape.
